Why Tend
At Refulgent Studio, we believe one of the best ways to help people live on purpose is to help them access birthright wisdom about how, like how to craft rituals that add meaning to everyday moments. Rituals are a simple, fun, remarkably deep way to encounter life, through all the mundane, shimmering beauty and mess of our everyday lives.
Grounding
We feel the weight of our responsibility to tend the traditions reflected here and the ancestors who bore them across time. If this sounds heavy and maybe a little serious, it is.
We step into this responsibility by careful research of a diverse array of traditions, by citing the inspirations for the practices we generate, and by naming the direct line of tradition whenever possible. We specifically override the LLM model's general training on these traditions. We have religious and spiritual professionals as designers, content experts, and advisors, and we carefully gather wisdom from the sociology and practice of ritual making.
Privacy
Your rituals, your interview conversations, and what Tend remembers about you live on Tend's own servers so they can shape what we make for you next.
We use three external services: Anthropic's Claude to compose your ritual, Hume to compose the ritual for listening, and OpenAI to present you with possible ritual elements. All three receive the details of your ritual in order to compose these outputs. None of these sources uses your data to train anything.
